Reservation and Refund Policy:

Thank you for considering Equinox Guiding Service for your ice, rock, and mountaineering adventures. When you make a reservation with us, it means we dedicate a guide specifically for your experience, preventing us from accepting other reservations during that time. While we want you to fully enjoy your planned adventure, we understand that plans can change. Please be aware that cancellations pose challenges for us and can impact our guides financially.

  • To secure your spot on our unique ice, rock, or mountaineering programs, full payment is required upon reservation. This payment is refundable up to 30 days before your program date, with a 4% administration fee deducted from the refund.

  • Cancellations made less than 30 days in advance will receive a credit for a future reservation. You can reschedule your adventure for an alternate date within the same season at no additional charge.

  • If you fail to show up on the day of your program or cancel less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled date, you will not be eligible for any refund.

  • Short-notice reservations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled program will not be eligible for a refund. We strive to offer credit for future adventures whenever possible.

Additional Costs and Program Details:

Equinox Guiding Service wants to ensure transparency regarding potential additional costs that may be incurred during our unique programs, such as entrance fees, camping, lodging, or food. In some cases, specific details will be discussed on a case-by-case basis during our pre-program discussions.

Trip Insurance:

To safeguard your investment, we encourage all participants to consider purchasing trip insurance. You can explore options online, and here are a couple of examples:

Weather Policy:

We always hope for ideal conditions, but understand that weather can be unpredictable. Participants are encouraged to come prepared for various conditions.

  • For rock climbing programs, we do not cancel for rain unless there is a greater than 40% chance. Participants are included in the decision-making process, and if the 24-hour forecast predicts over 40%, you may reschedule at no cost.

  • Ice climbing programs will be assessed based on extremely cold forecasts or inaccessible locations. Participants unable to reach the climbing location will receive a credit for the program, but no refunds are available within 48 hours.

Dogs:

For the safety and focus of all participants, dogs are not allowed on our programs. Please leave them at home.

Transportation:

Equinox Guiding Service does not provide transportation to or from program locations. Participants must arrange their own travel for our unique ice, rock, and mountaineering programs.
